Project Location : Remote

Project Description
I am setting up a new venture offering a credit control and debt collection outsourcing service to local sme's. I will work from my office as my clients credit controller and deal with as much or as little of my clients sales ledger as they require. Late payments cost sme's thousands of pounds in interest and loss of working capital and are the reason for 1 in 4 businesses becoming insolvent each year. I fulfill the duties of a credit controller at a fraction of the price it costs to employ one (no Gross pay, Nat. Ins., holiday pay, sick pay, office space etc) my average cost would be approximately £200/£300 per month. My target market is local small to medium sized businesses who offer credit and who trade business to business as I will not be getting involved with consumer debt. I am also offering a debt collection service for individual bad debts on a "no collect - no fee" basis with a percentage fee. Having had 25 years accounts experience I have dealt with all areas of accounts and appreciate the impact and relationship of the accounts function on other departments within the company and their individual priorities. I also appreciate the fine balance which has to be maintained between collecting payment due without jeopardising customer relationships. My aim is to work with a business to improve cash flow and consequently profitability, as their is no profit until it is paid for, through flexible and effective credit control procedures. Included in the service will be a Debtor, Credit Control and Process review(F.O.C.), customer credit checks, telephone collection, reminder letters, query management, payment plan negotiation, statement postal service, bespoke service, everything a company credit controller would perform and competitive fixed fees for easy budgeting.
I have just set this service up and I am looking to kick start the business, I am looking for someone to contact my local businesses and explain the service I am offering and to make arrangements for me to visit a prospective client to fully explain how I can benefit them and to arrange to carry out a review. As a start I have just sent out a mailshot to 100 local businesses and I thought a follow up telephone call would help and be a starting point. I have attached a copy of the mailshot letter.

Details of the accepted bid

Amount: £ 8.50 Per Hour

Proposal:
Hi Stephen - I am currently working on a similar PHP telesales project where I have achieved 3 appointments per day for 5 days a week, as per my client's requirements. I think, therefore, that I would be able to achieve a good rate of appointments for you and perhaps my Scottish accent will help as a recent survey has again highlighted how much people tend to trust a Scottish accent! It's always hard to calculate how long this sort of job can take, but I have based my calculations on each call taking approx. 5 minutes, therefore I could deal with 12 clients per hour and on the basis of the initial project being to follow up your original 100 mailshots, that would be just over 8 hours. Of course, if it took me less time than that, I would only bill you for the corresponding number of hours. If the project were to continue beyond your mailshots, we could perhaps agree an hourly rate and a commission for each new client. Thank you for considering my bid and I hope to hear from you. Bobbie

Estimated Start Date: Within 1 Business Day

Hi Gouri

As I have never done this before I am not familiar with the going rate, I am therefore expecting bids from providers with their proposed rates.
Yes I am looking for UK only providers.

Regards

Steve
