Proposal:
Hi,

I am a London-based software engineer that has worked in the online development industry for over five years now, developing mainly in .NET and SQL but with a strong understanding of most web technologies, including PHP, Javascript, MySQL, Coldfusion and others. I also have a 1st-class masters degree in computing from one of the top three UK universities, so you can rest assured that you are getting a very high quality professional service. For some examples of the sites I have worked on in the past please take some time to look at www.startups.co.uk and www.fastcar.co.uk.

During my years working as a web programmer I have developed an expertise in SEO - this is not something picked up from a book or reading a website, but a methodology of working that has developed from trying different combinations of techniques to see what works best in different combinations. I consider there are two element to fully optimising a site - the internal element and the external element. Externally means setting up link exchange programs, submission to directories and search engines and generally gettign the site 'out there'. Internally (the one that is more often forgotten) means ensuring that everything on the site is set up to attract search engine attention, from titles to tags to the content itself - at the end of the day, when you do get Google coming to visit you want to take advantage!

I'll wait to hear from you further on this, but in the meantime what I can tell you is that my work procedure revolves around communication and professionalism - in a nutshell I aim to provide you with a solution of the highest quailty that meets your requirements, and to keep you updated throughout the development process both with notifications and with prototypes for you to view how the work is progressing yourself.

I hope to hear from you soon, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Regards
Alun

Hi Michele

The cost of improving an organic rank in search engines is dependent of so many factors it would be useful to know what area, or even better a URL, and a few other bits of information such as how long the website has been online. This information will enable us to give you a realistic bid.

Many thanks
Sarah
