Project Title : The Best Amateur Dubai Review Site on the Web!

I need to convert this into a web site whose primary differentiating factor will be that it's written by a 'Mr Joe Average' who isn't affiliated with anyone and isn't a travel review expert and is looking at the trip from an average holiday makers point of view. However I don't want this to translate to an amateurish web site with a 'Blog look and feel'. Here are the primary considerations:
1. The web site needs to have a polished, 'airy' look and feel. I'm not keen on sites that appear hard work at first glance with too many words and not enough 'breathing space'..these have a tendency to look a little 'thrown together' and amateurish.
2. The purpose of the web site is primarily as an informal reference for the would be traveller which will maximise internet traffic in an effort to generate revenue from Google Adsense hence web site optimisation and expertise in the implementation and placement of Adsense is a key skillset. I've also heard for Google ranking purposes it's best to keep it to text based rather than something like Flash(?) which is another reason why I'm not keen on Flash, this website will need to be loaded on user PCs of varying configuration and computing power as quickly as possible.
In terms of Adsense placement, I've read it's not just a matter of placing ads on the borders as these rarely get looked at, instead they need to be placed at the begining, in the body and near or at the end of the text to draw the readers eye without being obstructive or distracting to the flow of reading.
Also expertise in adword placement is required to double check the text to ensure that as much has been done as can be done for Google ranking performance.
3. I'll also need some graphic design expertise to transform some of the public domain images e.g. a public domain click art image of the world which wil be used to highlight where Dubai is and then somehow work in another image freely available from Nasa which shows the dubai coastline in more detail aswell as considering a logo for the site etc.
4. The site will need to be easy to maintain and update with a feature allowing readers to post any hints/tips/recommendations they may want to make however I'll still require editorial control over this to ensure that nothing inappropriate is posted.
5. The information collated for the site will be done to the best of my ability to ensure accuracy however I'll need advice on any legal requirements/disclaimers which wil be required to ensure that usage of the web site will essentially be under the condition: 'buyer beware'. I'll also need advice on how to implement and enforce a copyright on the site's contents (e.g. not allowing a 'right click save' of pics on the site unless they're public domain images etc.)

Hello Gurjit,
Looks like you've expanded your spec somewhat since the last bid, which is great because it allows me to give you a much more concrete idea of what I can do for you.
To take each of your points in turn:
1. Personally, whenever I think of Dubai I think wide-open spaces, white, sky blue and shiny and so would create a site that works along these concepts, perhaps based around and using the colour pallette from this image of the Burg: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1966
2. I have run (and successfully sold) a number of adsense websites over the last three years, some of which have generated £700 a month revenue. I am therefore fully aware of the following adsense concerns:
- placement
- colour/blending
- keyword targetting based on your content
I can also advise you on how to filter out ads that would drive down your revenue. Generally, my sites average an 8% clickthrough rate, though some are as high as 30%.
With regards the design, I always stay away from Flash for Search Engine Optimisation reasons, and would deliver you a valid XHTML & CSS (tableless, as this also improves things from Google's point of view) website.
With regards the content, I can review and advise on keyword density of your articles, whether we should break things down in to smaller pages etc.
3. I am an experienced Photoshop user, and can easily accomplish this.
4. I would design you an interface that enables you to add additional articles / modify existing content to accomplish this. We could discuss the user submitted aspect later, but this could be accomplised by allowing comments per page

Of course, if you wanted to save on development costs, this could be accomplised by putting a custom skin on to WordPress, which would enable you to use all of the WordPress functionality, but without it appearing obvious to the general user that that's what it was.
