Experience:
I have held successive interim management posts (4) including rescue of contracts with Local Government Departments.
The restructuring of management and administration processes enabling the organisations to become effective and good value.
I have assisted in the start up of 2 businesses, putting into place Administration processes, policy and health and safety documentation. As a strategic thinker I am best utilised within Business Re-Engineering. My strong communication skills are a great benefit when dealing with conflict and negotiation.
My Administration experience is based in Medical, Education and Government departments. Over the course of 18 years I rose to Executive Assistant level before altering my career path to Management consultancy contracts. This change came about after my employer at the time felt my skills were not best being utilised and set me on the road to consultancy work. He has remained my mentor and advisor over the years and I am often called in to contracts to work along side him.
As an active member of NUS & WNUS during my college years, I gained much experience with public speaking, negotiation and general welfare issues. I would like to revisit these at some point in my career; the challenge of running and willing Student union and national union elections and pushing forward new policy changes bought out skills and strengths in myself not previously discovered.
