I am a highly experienced freelance copywriter, feature writer and author with a wide range of writing and editing skills. The scope of my writing is very broad, including business-related copywriting, features and articles for magazines, and researching and writing non-fiction books.
I undertake copywriting for small businesses and individuals including web content and SEO, press releases, brochures and mailers for projects large and small. I also write magazine articles for a wide range of publications including BBC History, The Times Educational Supplement and Period House and I am the author of three non-fiction books.
Whatever the scale of your project, I pride myself on being able to tailor my writing to your specific audience, on time and within budget. I always take the time to talk through a brief to fully understand your audience and its needs. I will then work with you to ascertain exactly what you want to achieve from the copy. Using well-honed research skills, I can write interesting, relevant copy tailored to your specific industry and audience, whether you’re in retail or recruitment, catering or construction.
I have never missed a deadline throughout my writing career and I am accustomed to working remotely, being briefed either by email or telephone.
Recent copywriting projects have included:
• Rewriting the copy for a company website to make it more reader-friendly
• Press releases for local businesses
• Web user guides for a business-to-business organisation
• A series of teachers’ notes for an educational CD-Rom about the Victorians
Experience:
I have been a full-time freelancer for the past three years, prior to which I worked as a copywriter in a marketing agency.
Education and Training:
I am a History graduate with excellent research and writing skills.
