Sony New Digital Book Reader - E-Reader PRS-505/SC
Posted by peopleperhour.com - 07/10/2008 19:08
Sony has launched a new Reader ebook, an electronic device about the size of a paperback book (but slimmer), on which you can read your ebooks.

The product could be a boon to freelance writers, many of whom have written ebooks, which are easier to produce and publish than “real” books.

So, if you read books or write them, the new Reader from Sony will be of interest to you.  It enables you to read electronic books (ebooks), away from your PC or even your portable laptop. With a look and feel similar to reading a real paper book, the Reader allows you to carry around your own mini-library of ebooks.

The Sony Reader eBook, PRS-505S currently retails at £199. It is portable (and you can buy a smart case for £18) and light, yet can hold an estimated 160 ebooks at one time. From a single battery charge, you can get approximately 6,800 page turns - plenty for a few commuter train journeys!

As well as the protective case, you can store more books on a Sony Memory Stick Duo™ or SD memory card, and another available accessory is a flexible neck light that lights up the display.
