Convert a Word Docx into XML doc, not using node.js or any backend scripting, just js.imports. There are several libraries online to use.
Supply:
I need an HTML file (loads a js file/s) that produces a file input dialogue, to select a word DOCX file and then converts to XML and then ask where to save, again dialogue box to select a destination to save on the local file system.
Remember, no node.js, no backend script (php or python, asp, etc), its a browser solution only, javascript only.
Supply HTML file, with your js file and a javascript library of your choosing, Browser is mainly IE 9 or Edge, possible Active X dom hooks that can be used. There is a lots of code of examples on the web its simple task of putting it together.
1) html file with a file input dialogue window to find docx files on the local filesystem
2) convert the file opened into xml or json internally , parse the xml or word for just the text in the table cells, not the labels, not the style, not table info (look at the example)
3) Open a save file dialogue and save the parsed text fields as a xml file to the local file system
Since the client browser and local file system are the same domain should crossover free, but if not you will need to take care of this too.
The html will be launch from the users file system
