Expereineced Freelance Recipe Book Proof Reader Required

We require a proofreader with proven experience in working on recipe books. Proofreading will be to check the efficacy of the recipes (i.e to highlight any problems that will prevent the recipe from working) as well as ensuring that ALL listed ingredients are used in the method steps, and that the method steps don't include ingredients that aren't listed. The proofreader will also need to ensure that the images correspond to the recipe and highlight any recipes where the image is incorrect or shows obvious ingredients / garnishes that aren't listed.

The job is for an initial 40 hours (to re-proof a series existing books for new editions) with an immediate start date but will be ongoing as our client is continuously publishing new books for which we provide the recipes and images.

The proofreader MUST be able to demonstrate previous recipe book experience and preferably have a food writing / cooking background. A eye for very precise detail is imperative as well the ability to work fast as our client works to very tight deadlines.

PhotoCuisine UK & US is a leading agency supplying images and recipes to the media industry for publishing, magazines, newspapers and ad/design agencies. We are a small team of photographers and food writers and will require proofreading on an ongoing basis for our leading client.

The client would appreciate the opportunity to meet the proofreader as soon as they are appointed to ensure applicability for ongoing work.
