Provide maintenance for your WordPress website

WordPress website not as fast as it used to be? Throwing up strange errors ... but only sometimes?

Or maybe you just don't have the time to spend tweaking things to make your website run smoothly and efficiently. It still works, right?

Until it doesn't...

I'll take all that off your hands, update, tweak, make sure everything is secure and working smoothly - and offer advice if appropriate.

What's included:

• Take a backup
• Update plugins (up to 40 - but do you really need that many?)
• Remove deactivated plugins as appropriate (except the ones you want to keep available - give me a list of those)
• Update themes
• Update WordPress Core
• Check plugins still being supported by developer - advise on alternatives if appropriate
• Check theme still being supported by developer - advise on alternatives if appropriate
• Optimize database
• Check site load speed and tweak if appropriate
• Carefully remove clutter left over from old deleted plugins
• Check sitemap and robots.txt are up to date and doing their jobs properly
• Check images and compress if appropriate
• Install security plugin if you don't already have one

Ask about additional fees for:

• Changes to content, themes or design
• Tracking down plugin or theme conflicts
• Installation of new functionality or plugins
• I do not edit or adjust plugins, themes or the WordPress core - that requires custom PHP coding which is outside my skillset

How often do you need website maintenance?

• WordPress maintenance is an ongoing process. Once a week is better ... once a month is adequate.
