General information for the business: automated trading set-up
Description of requirements/functionality: I have a template spreadsheet that can stream in historical data from the trading broker IG Index.
They use API to link Excel inputs into their order system, and data streams.
I need a developer to help code up the following
1. extract required data (time-series) such as historica open/close prices, technical indicators
2. 'live' prices of defined tickers (product names)
3. generate automatic trade orders to feed into IG Index, from the Excel spreadsheet API
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes:
I have attached an example Excel template on what I would like. In the tab 'Main', I show I would like 'live tick data' to be pulled in via the RTD functions provided.
There are existing functions where you should ensure I can pull in my positions and PnL data by clicking the button 'Positions'.
When I click the button 'Start/Stop data' , I need to start copying a pasting the live tick data over continuously (every pre-defined period such as 5 min).
Historical data download example in tab 'DataDownload'.
