Legal Advice for Claim against my business
I own a commercial cleaning company (which now forms part of a group of companies) that completed some gutter clearance on an industrial unit pre-COVID. Post works, with very heavy rain the site in question had a large influx of water that the claimant is saying is due to the work we carried out. Said company owned the freehold and went into liquidation at the same time. In short, this claim is nothing more than an attempt to get a payout from our insurance/us. The solicitors for my insurance company are dealing with this, and it has been going on for a few years.
