Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Freelance Digital Marketing & Website Specialist – Long-Term Opportunity
Location: UK-based Business
Industry: Leather Goods Manufacturing
Position Type: Freelance (Ongoing, Long-Term Relationship)
Hours: 40 hours per month
Pay: £400 per month
About Us:
We are a small, family-owned business in the UK that has been specialising in handcrafted leather products since 1991. You can learn more about us at tjleathergoods.co.uk. We’re looking to grow our online presence and expand our reach for the next 20 years, and we need a reliable, experienced, and driven freelancer to help us achieve this goal. This is not a short-term project – we’re seeking a long-term partnership with the right person who is eager to make a real impact on our business.
What We Need:
An experienced digital marketing freelancer with a diverse skill set to help us drive traffic, generate leads, and increase online sales. You’ll work closely with me, the owner, to manage and implement strategies across SEO, social media, content marketing, and more.
Key Objectives:
SEO (On-page & Off-page): Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve our organic search visibility and rankings.
Social Media Marketing: Manage and grow our social media presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram.
Content Marketing: Help create compelling content (we provide the literature) that resonates with our target audience and boosts engagement.
PPC & SEM: Manage pay-per-click campaigns and search engine marketing to increase qualified leads.
CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization): Optimise website elements to improve conversion rates and overall user experience.
Email Marketing: Work with us to craft and implement effective email campaigns using our contact list to support the sales process.
Analytics & Reporting: Regularly review data and provide monthly performance reports, suggesting actionable improvements based on insights.
Creative Thinking: Bring fresh ideas to the table to drive website traffic, improve online visibility, and increase enquiries.
Basic WordPress Management: Comfortable making basic updates and edits to our website.
Basic Graphic Design: Create visual content (images, banners, etc.) and basic presentations for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
What We’re Looking For:
An individual freelancer or a small partnership with complementary skill sets.
Experience: Proven track record in digital marketing, particularly in the areas outlined above. Please provide examples of previous work.
Skillset: You may not be an expert in every area, but we value a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
Reliability & Trustworthiness: We’re looking for someone who is dedicated, honest, and genuinely interested in growing with our business long-term.
Work Ethic: A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a passion for helping small businesses succeed online.
Fluency in English: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
Comfortable with Zoom & Teams Calls: As we work remotely, you'll need to be comfortable with regular communication via Zoom or Teams calls to discuss strategies, report progress, and collaborate effectively.
Why Join Us:
This is a long-term partnership, not a one-off project. If you're the right fit, there’s endless potential to grow and contribute to our business success.
We value our freelancers and have built strong, long-lasting working relationships with several team members.
You’ll be considered an integral part of our team, with opportunities for further growth and development.
Pay: £400 per month for 40 hours of work.
How to Apply:
Please send your proposal detailing:
Why you believe you have the right work ethic, drive, and entrepreneurial spirit to succeed, no matter what it takes.
What you can bring to our business and how you’d approach the tasks outlined above.
A summary of your experience and examples of previous work.
Whether you're applying as an individual or as part of a partnership.
Confirm your availability and agree to the terms of 40 hours per month at £400 per month.
Note:
We appreciate that we are looking for a unique individual, but we are confident you’ll be found – we’ve found great partners before. While experience in all areas is ideal, if you have expertise in some but not all aspects of digital marketing, and are confident in your ability to learn and adapt, we encourage you to apply.
We have incredible products; we now just need the right people to find us!

Dear David,
How do you assess the effectiveness of your current social media posting frequency in terms of audience engagement and lead conversion? -
I would love to apply for this job but am not familiar with PPH. Is there any way you could post this job on Upwork and I could apply on there?
-
This is far less than the minimum wage.
