I need an affordable audit of my annual accounts as a self-employed professional. I am sure that my accountants are letting me pay too much tax. Does this qualify as a project? An auditor local to me (i.e., Croydon/Sutton) would be ideal. Thanks.

| Dear Kenneth, My concern is not future accounts but past ones. I am paying tax on billings, but receipts are consistently lower. Nevertheless, I seem always to be paying more tax and I feel sure that something has been missed. I apologise if the job spec was not particularly clear, but what I actually need is someone to go through my past accounts and reassure me that I haven\\\'t been overpaying. Thanks. - AT | |||

| I may bid for this project however your accountant may be protecting you from a future liability you may not like. Be careful in selecting an accountant. Don\'t base your choice on who will have you pay the least amount of tax. Remember - it\'s you signing your return, not the accountant. | |||
