Project Description
I am looking for someone to help me create a 'my account' style section to my website.
A rough spec of the system is as follows:
1. Customer places order – as part of this order form the customer will provide the email addresses of all the other people they wish to invite to upload a ‘contribution’. Upon receipt of paypal payment (which also needs to be integrated), customer will be allocated with a username & password to access 'account' section.
2. Email confirmation sent containing individual usernames & passwords to all ‘contributors’ as specified in the customers original order form
3. Once logged in they can upload multiple high res files, it would be useful to have the function for them to mark as ‘contribution complete’ or ‘contribution incomplete’ so they could come back and upload in installments if necessary. It would also be useful to display a list of all the files they have previously uploaded so they can easily keep track of what they’ve done – all uploads would need to be allocated to that order number so there can be no confusion over which files came from which party. There also needs to be a 'low res' alert function to ensure that all uploads are of high enough quality.
4. Email reminders sent to those contributors whos uploads have not been received within a specified period of time
5.Confirmation email sent to me once all contributors have uploaded their items and marked as ‘contribution complete’.
I've never developed anything like this before so it's unknown ground for me, I understand that I will also need to setup a database to allow for the files to be uploaded, I am willing to take advice on the best course of action.
This will need to sit within the frame work of the rest of the website, I don't want to be diverting users off to third party webpages.
I've not had to do a spec a job like this before so feel free to contact me if I have missed any vital information.

| Hi Emmanuel, At the moment the site is in it\\\'s infancy, so is only constructed of basic html pages, I\\\'ve not programmed anything so far. I\\\'ve worked with php before and I know my server supports it, so this would probably be my preferred method, but as I said in my original post - this is new ground for me, so I am willing to disuss the options - I can be flexible. |
