| I have experience working in the health sector, gathering and analysing patient data, and also in designing management systems where the user is directed to questions or forms depending on answers to previous questions. I will be bidding on this project but before I do would you mind providing me with some further information? Can you tell me: 1) the number of forms to be used, and 2) how the tablet PCs will be used? That is, will they be used with the organistaion, or in the field. Will they have access to the organistaions network, either directly or via the Internet. Thanks. Regards, Greg Spring |

We would also like to inform you that we have developed on such kind of domains and other domains such as e-commerce, Social networking etc.. So the fear of yours regarding confidentiality will be taken care of. We just want to know just one thing, whether you would provide us with the Active Ink Professional Client after winning the bid or not? Also in what kind of environment does your Doctor's operate in? Waiting for your reply.. |

| First of all, thank you all for responding. In 24 hours time we have received an overwhelming response. I apologize for writing a standard letter in response to all of you, but based on the number of response we have received, it was easier to write one letter to address all of you, then to try and speak with each of you individually. Let me give you a little background and then go into more detail on what we are looking for. We are a small business that provides medical professionals to remote areas around the world. One of our biggest problems has been in patient care documentation. Currently our system consists of pen and ink notes that are kept locally on site and hand carried out upon completion of our project to be stored in a document warehouse for the required period as allowed by law. To say that this system is inefficient is an understatement. Our medical director cannot do quality control on cases nor can he consult on patients being seen on a regular basis because he does not have access to their patient charts. We have looked at Electronic Medical Record Systems designed for Doctors offices and those designed for Ambulance companies and neither meet our needs. Ambulance companies only deal with a patient for the first 15 minutes to a max of an hour with no room for followup care as they are designed to be given to a hospital. EMR systems designed for Doctor’s offices, clinics, and hospitals are all designed to operate either from a web based server or from a local server with hard wired access terminals. Neither of these will work for us as our providers are operating in environments that do not allow for a continuous internet connection and it is physically impossible to hard wire them to our server. This is where we end up in a dilemma. Now as to what our requirements are. We are looking for a program that will use Active Ink Professional Client or some other similar system, as the user interface. This system will be able to provide the user with a system of standard questions to answer in regards to patient care, similar to this system ,Urgentcareemr's DOCUTAP software . When the user makes his or her diagnosis, the plan of treatment will be pre-populated based on the protocols that are used within our company. This plan should be able to be changed by the user to customize the care to the patient. In addition, these pre-populated areas should be able to be changed by an administrator to stay current with our protocols. The unique part of this program needs to be able to take all of the data that is obtained and be able to put it all in a database of sorts. This database should be kept locally on the user PC, but when an internet connection is obtained, it should be synced with the master database that is kept at a different location. Ideally this information should be sent encrypted using something that is compliant with HIPPA regulations. This information does not need to be sent as a completed form, but when the user at the other end brings it up, it should be able to be read as if it was an exact copy of the form that is kept locally. In addition, this database needs to be able to store pictures as part of the patient form. Other places to look are EMRExperts and SOAPWARE...just google them. |

| Hi Francis, Sounds like a very interesting project, and I would like to find out more about your requirements - number of forms, database used, programming language, server etc. Difficult to give time estimates without more details. As well as having many years programming experience, I am also a registered osteopath - so I am familiar with medical patient encounters and case history forms. thanks Matt |
