Project Title : Shopping Cart Needed

Project Location : Remote

Project Status :
Bid Accepted
Project Description
Hi.
I am creator of a new magazine for the Bristol area. It is being printed in the next couple of months.
What I need is a 'shopping cart'/page added to my existing website that enables people to go on and purchase a copy of the first issue with their credit/debit cards - and enter their address so that I can get orders in and get a list of those that have bought a copy, so that I can then get the printers to post out once printing is complete.

Need something doing fairly quickly.

Proposal:
Hello Oli

-----------------------------------------------
EDIT 10/09/08: Having seen your posted message about PayPal, the alternatives would be Google Checkout or Nochex - so substitute those for PayPal in my bid detail!
-----------------------------------------------

Do you already have a merchant account allowing you to accept card payment?

If not, my suggestion for you would be to use a Paypal 'Buy Now' style solution, allowing your customers to purchase the magazine via a well known method whether or not they already have a PayPal account - it also allows debit and credit card one-off payments without the need to register.

Adding the PayPal button is a straightforward process which I would be able to complete very quickly. I can also show you how to download the buyers details into a spreadsheet for easy reference. It'a also possible to set up a subscription payment if people wish to continue to receive your magazine on a regular basis.

If you do have a merchant account you wish to use, we can discuss the details at the appropriate time, though it should still be a fairly simple process.

I would expect to have your payment page ready to use within a day of starting, subject to the payment receiving account being up and running already.

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions before making a decision about your provider.

Thank you for your consideration.
Marianne

yes it will need to be intergrated ideally. but im flexible, whatever's easiest.
Although PayPal will be unsuitable as a merchant account as I was blocked from them during my rebellious University days due to a late payment.
haha - but anything else would be good.

Hello,

I was wondering what type of payment system you required.

Did you want your customers to leave your website and get diverted to a payment gateway such as Paypal

or

did you want the payment gateway integrated into your website so users wouldn’t know which payment gateway you were using whilst being secure.

Both methods would enable you to get their address etc as required.

The first method is the cheapest option. I live in Bath, so it would be easy to work with you on this project.

Would it be possible to see your website to know what to expect?

Regards,

Mark
