Project Title : Browser based listing update

Project Location : Remote

Project Status :
Expired for Bidding
Project Description
We run an online music magazine which features a live gig listing:

Currently it's manually updated by a webmaster, but we would like to be able to have users add their own dates via a browser based system.

I anticipate a browser based form with very specific fields...

Artist Name (mandatory)
Artist Website (optional - this would need to added as a link to the artist name (as current example)
Description (optional. with a maximum number of characters)
Venue Name (mandatory)
Venue Address (mandatory)
Venue Postcode (mandatory)
Venue website (optional - this would need to added as a link to the artist name (as current example)

Would we need some sort of anti-spam device (type the characters you see here or similar?)

Anything else I should consider?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Is the current website holding static information or is there a backend database already in place.

If there is no database in place, can the current hosting facilitate a MySql database or will you require hosting

If you can provide me with the above information
I will be able to quote on this project,

Kind Regards
Mark

Hi! Presumably you don't want the public making entries, so do you want an artist registration form of some kind or a way of you entering bands etc into the database so they can log in to add their gigs?

What about approving/rejecting any gigs that are submitted by artists - you should be able to view the entry before publishing.
