I have a few years experience doing exactly this :-)

I specialise in taking existing branding - in whatever form it currently is (.psd, .tif, print) and porting it successfully and professionally to the web. Html based email work, although similar to web design, is a PITFALL. Web browsers are designed to display code in a 'friendly' manner - anything that isn't coded 100% right will be excused and allowed to display - most of the time looking right. Email clients do not do this - something that looks alright in a web browser can look shocking in Outlook or Eudora. When choosing someone to do this transfer for you, make sure they know the ins and outs of the email clients you are sending to :-)

I have further knowledge of how to avoid spam filters as much as possible - ensuring that as much of your mail drop gets to the destination - in the way you intend it to be seen - as possible.
