Vision Engineering Ltd. manufactures a range of optical microscopes used within industry (electronics manufacturing, precision engineering, plastics, dental etc) for visual inspection and dimensional checking, for the purposes of quality control. Many of the systems employ patented optical technology to remove the need for the conventional eyepieces of a microscope, allowing operators to work in complete comfort, improving accuracy and efficiency.

We require some telemarketing to be conducted on some contacts or data we are purchasing. Manufacturing or engineering experience is not essential but talking confidently about technical issues is desirable.

The objective of the project is to follow up a mailshot with some telemarketing to try and ascertain how relevant our products are to the data and if they require either:
• More information on Vision Engineering’s products
• A quotation
• A demonstration
• Kept up to date with our product information
• Not relevant and not to be contacted etc

Information includes:
• Appx. 1500 contacts from manufacturers in the UK and Eire.
• Basic standard script supplied
• Product literature supplied

Please note this project will require a trial and error approach as there are elements of uncertainty with the data i.e. the relevance and the availability of contacts.

Dear Chris

My name is Mark O\'Reilly I have had a background in industrial sales (Automotive, Electronics, Manufacturing - Fasteners and Components) for over 20 years including Business Development Director, Sales Director and most recently as General Manager UK & Export. I have a gap before my next assignment begins and would be interested to assist in this project. I have organised such projects myself in the past and know the benefits if they are implemented correctly. The length of call can vary greatly when discussing such technical products so I estimate around three weeks is required to conduct this project successfully. Do you use a CRM system or would the data be in Excel/Access?
