Hi there I'm after help raising funds for our injured soldiers let me explain my situation. I myself have served in the armed forces and i returned back from Iraq in 2007 after completing a operational tour on the front line.My dream now is to create my own charity raising funds for our injured soldiers. But before i can become a fully registered charity with the charity commission i need to show that I'm raising £5 000 or more a year.I've got a great team in place at the moment that are raring to go once my charity is registered i just need to raise my funds first. I'm currently looking at raising £10 000 this would enable my charity to become registered as well as buying my merchandise for my charity and enabling us to become fully operational if you feel you can help me than please contact me thanks and take care Ben.

| Hi Ben, Firstly I would like to say I thinks it\'s brilliant what you are trying to do! I can not offer you experience in charity work but what I do have is lots of experience in advertising, sales and PR. I am sure that there are not many people in the UK do not know anyone affected by your cause therefore would be willing to donate and help if they knew they could! I feel raising awareness would be the key! You could organise events such as \"Civi March\" where people would march through their streets to raise money or maybe \"Green Day\" where schools / retail outlets and business wore green for the day and payed say 50p or £1 for the privellge! These events could be sponsored by local businesses (everyone likes cheap brand awarness) to cover the cost of advertising in local papers and local radio! Creating a database of potential participants (easily done with the internet) send letters inviting sponsorship and or to take part, then follow up with a phone call. I have contacts in advertising, printing / design and IT (needed for mailmerge and creating a website). I could go on all day!!! I would love to help you with your dream - but would prefer to be home based (not to say that I would not come down for meetings ect). | Hello Ben, I would be delighted to help you with this project for a fixed fee. I believe the best thing would be to meet up with you and your team on a half day consultancy to brain storm the best way forward. I have a great deal of experience in working on these types of projects and it is something very close to my heart, my husband suffers from PTSD and was a soldier. Additionally I have worked locally to raise funds in a very short space of time for our local war memorial to be refurbished and I am Chairman to our local War Memorial Playing Field Preservation Group, we as a group along with the local community managed to keep our local War Memorial and Playing Field although under threat from our local council. I realise the War Memorial is different, although it is along the same lines, there is the need for Remembrance and for it to be respected and there is a need for us not to forget our soldiers, doing a fine job. Family breakdown is all too often the sad consequence of not enough resource available to help our returned servicemen and women and the terrible way they suffer. I respect greatly what you want to achieve. I can provide you with examples of my press releases, many of them compelling and have achieved great results. I have a local authority background and I am a successful community fundraiser, I do understand how I could best assist your group in these areas. My CV is saved under my profile and has further contact details. There are also some examples of my published work including an article on Remembrance. | Hi Ben I already raise money for similar projects but could you state what kind of fund raising yoare looking to do - direct marketing, face to face, bid writing and there are a number of other ways contracts, etc Thanks |
